Philosophy of More
Philosophy of More
The philosophy of more is based on the fact that what we choose to focus on is what we will ultimately get.
Too often, however, we are told to focus on less fat, less protein, and/or less carbs. If you have tried any of these modern ‘diets’ and have been forced to focus on less, you probably also ended up with less results than you hoped for.
I don’t know about you, but my mental fortitude and, so called, “will power” are no match to stand up when my body needs more fat, protein, and/or carbs!
You and I are not alone in this phenomenon. Listen to what the New England Journal of Medicine said after it’s study on how successful the average person could be on one of four major modern diets. “The mix of carbohydrates, fat, and protein in the four diets to which people were assigned didn’t make a difference in whether they lost weight. After two years, the average participant in the study had lost less than 9 pounds, and the trend was toward weight slowly creeping up again.” That’s because, evolutionarily speaking, our body’s primitive nutritional needs were programmed way before our rational mind developed and started setting rules for it.
In a fight over fettucini alfredo, between your “savage inner caveman” and the “rational calorie accountant” in your brain, who do you think wins most of the time?
Who do you think should win most of the time?
What to Do
If you want more results, start focusing on more:
- More attention to your own body’s needs instead of someone else’s “diet rules.”
- Eat more of the foods that truly give your body what it needs.
- More satisfaction with the primary foods in your life.
- And, more energy to get out there with what you love and be active.
How to Do It
Learn how to elevate yourself to a more enlightened way of eating. We are no longer primitive cavemen, but we never wanted to be stingy calorie counters either. You can get past the struggle with diets and will power by incorporating more good things into your life and I can help.
1. As a health counselor, I give you the strategies you need to filter out all the distracting messages from fad diets, food companies, and the latest food science so you can focus on what foods really keep you healthy.
2. Even if your body’s cravings seem to be all wrong, that just means you don’t speak your body’s language yet. I help my clients expand their “vocabulary” so they can have more ways of satisfying cravings. Wouldn’t it be great to take care of your cravings instead of dread them?
3. Since I use a holistic approach, I also want to support you to be happy with how all aspects of your life affect the whole. Food changes everything. As your diet expands, your body gets healthier, and your happiness improves.
4. Exercising and being active is a major part of feeling good. It shouldn’t be a struggle. Once you are eating healthier with the Philosophy of More, you’ll start to notice you have more energy to get out there and burn it off. You will have come full circle once you are able to enjoy yourself more while burning calories.
Are you ready to find out how much more fulfilling your life can be with MORE energy than you’ve ever had before? MORE control over what you can achieve? And MORE good food.
