Holistic Approach

Holistic ApproachA Holistic Health Counselor has studied all the major dietary theories so that she can help you sort through them and discover what approach works best for you at this point in your life.

When the experts say, “dairy is good for you” or “fat is unhealthy,” it’s too much of a generalization. One person’s food is another person’s poison, and that’s why fad diets don’t work in the long run.

It’s rare for anyone to get an hour to work on their nutrition and goals with a trained professional. A health counselor is here to create a supportive environment while helping you explore what really works for you.

Everyone knows what it’s like to have a little too much stress at work sometimes. Do you release stress by overeating? How do you deal with stress at home? Does lack of sleep or low energy prevent you from exercising?

Your Holistic Health Counselor will help you make gradual, lifelong changes that enable you to reach your current and future health goals. While most dietitians dwell on calories, carbs, fats, proteins, restrictions, and lists of good and bad foods, she practices a holistic approach to nutrition. That means your counselor:

  • Relies on whole foods,
  • Looks at how all parts of your life affect the whole,
  • And helps you take your own health into your own hands.
